As we approach our 150th anniversary of official
recognition as a parish by the Archdiocese of
St. Louis, we have a three-fold vision for the future
of St. Ignatius:

  •  To honor the sacrifices of our forefathers by
building on the traditions handed down
         through the generations
  •  To celebrate our 150th anniversary in 2007
inside the walls of a Parish Center that will
serve our community towards another 150 years.
  •  To contribute to building up the wider
         Christian community by celebrating
community events in facilities located on the
         St. Ignatius Campus.

We want to ensure that St. Ignatius remains our
community's vibrant heart by providing a center in
which parishioners can gather in all seasons for
receptions and parish socials...a center that is large
enough and well equipped to host funerals, dinners,
sports events, quilting circles, community meetings,
wedding receptions, family parties, and other events.
We want to provide an incentive for our children
and grandchildren to remain connected to our
    community.

We want to maintain our parish's viability by
attracting new parishioners, thus ensuring that our
small rural parish continues to thrive.

We want to create a space which could be a potential
source of rental revenues for our parish, and that
will also give us the capability to hold more
fund-raising events that can benefit our parish family.

  • This vision is impossible without God's grace and
the continued generosity and commitment of each
member of our parish. But with God's grace and
our united support, St. Ignatius will continue to
exert a positive influence for generations to come by
being a source and center of faith-anchored services
to our parish family and the larger community
